‘I first met Mel when she facilitated a significant programme of behavioural coaching with Shell just as I was going through a career change with the company.
Mel’s professional, engaging and friendly manner delivered the coaching in a way which really connected with her audience. It was a defining moment for me, I learned a lot about myself, my strengths and values and opportunities for me to target areas to develop.
I am very grateful to her for the part she played and has continued to play in helping me along from the first tentative steps on my new path.’

Coaching has long been recognised as a fundamental for sports people and is finally becoming recognised as an essential tool for leaders in business.
In order to achieve any form of success a sportsperson must have a coach - no one questions it or assumes they would go without, if they want to get to the top of their profession why would they?

The objective of executive coaching is to improve commercial performance and personal awareness.

Coaching Statistics
A 2001 study on the impact of executive coaching by Manchester Inc. showed an average ROI of 5.7 times the initial investment. The respondents were executives from large (mostly FORTUNE 1,000) companies who had participated in either "change oriented" coaching, aimed at improving certain behaviours or skills, or "growth oriented" coaching, designed to sharpen overall job performance. About 60% of the executives were aged between 40 to 49. Half held positions of vice president or higher.
The benefits to executives who received coaching were improved:
- Working relationships with direct reports (reported by 77% of executives)
- Working relationships with immediate supervisors (71%)
- Teamwork (67%)
- Working relationships with peers (63%)
- Job satisfaction (61%)
- Conflict reduction (52%)
- Organizational commitment (44%)
- Working relationships with clients (37%)
